This morning I was thinking about the many things I am grateful for … my hubby, daughters and son-in-law being at the top of the list.  Sometimes I find myself envious of other moms who have their adult children living nearby.  Instead this morning I was thinking of how grateful I am that our adult kids are doing well in their jobs and are healthy … and it’s good we are able to visit sometimes during the year and have Skype too.

Hubby had to go on a business trip to Florida recently and I decided to tough it out and accompany him 🙂  The ocean water was bath tub temperature – it was wonderful!

Absolutely, we have so very much to be grateful for, and yes, on the top of the list is our families! It would be awfully lonely without them. The last time we ‘talked’ your daughter had been sick … that was back in March, and I hope she’s better now. I know it is hard having them far from home. Our son is close, but still seems far away with the busyness of his life these days. At least we can chat through the computer, which we do fairly often … I’m thankful for that! Love your photos of the beach there! I haven’t seen a beach since I was …. well, it’s been quite awhile! lol! I would have had no trouble ‘toughing’ that trip out, myself!

I hope you’re doing well! I hadn’t heard back from you after I commented on one of your posts back in August, (it was on the one about your visit to the library), so when I saw that you had commented on one of Shanda’s blog posts recently, I wanted to drop back by to see how you were doing! Would love to see you posting again, and I need to do the same! We’ve been working through some issues here at home and I haven’t been on as much as I would like, but I do pop in to read at least once or twice a week. Sure would love to hear from you again! 🙂

      Hi Debi,

So nice to see your comment. Thanks my daughter is now completely recovered from her pneumonia. I am so thankful as she was quite sick for awhile.

Yes I would really like it if you posted 🙂 I hope that things work out okay for you.

I know I really don’t post much. I read Shanda’s blog most every day but rarely comment as I’m too lazy to sign in … oops. But I have been doing so a little more lately. I enjoy her blog a lot, and suspect I would like yours too if you posted more 🙂

So glad to hear that your daughter is recovered, Pam! I, on the other hand, have been taking care of a very sick husband. He caught ‘something’ that comes complete with coughing, lots of congestion, fatigue, and he still hasn’t gotten over it … it’s been close to four weeks now! We’re doing all of the ‘natural’ things that come highly recommended by our nutritionist. We thought he was getting better there for a bit, but it seems another bug caught hold of him! We’re doubling down now and hope we’ll see more improvement before too long!

As for my blogging, *sigh … I am working at getting some fall photos together, s-l-o-w-ly, to share, so hopefully, you’ll see something from me soon. I also read more often and understand about not always commenting on posts. My husband is taking a nap so I had some time to sit and catch up with you and some of the other posts I read, so I’m going to get to it … starting here with yours!

Hope you’re having a beautiful fall where you are … the colors here aren’t as vibrant as past years, but still there are some pretty ‘patches’ of color to behold. Fall is my favorite time of year, whatever color it comes in! 🙂 You have a blessed week, and I’ll be checking in more often, too!

        – Debi 🙂
