Today I was reminded about bringing our needs to God in prayer. When circumstances arise that cause me alarm … my reaction if often to fret first, and prayer comes second. Or third.
Hmm.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Phil 4:6-7. NIV
The NLT translation reads: “6 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.”
The word that stands out to me right now is “every”. In “every situation” and pray about “everything”. How awesome is the fact that I can bring all my concerns to my heavenly Father and that He care about every aspect of our lives.
