God is such a wonderful artist.  I walked to Whole Foods today and they were selling so many beautiful flowers in so many different colors.

I did not buy any but I did take a photo 🙂

Our oldest daughter called today to tell us she has pneumonia.  The ER doctor gave her an antibiotic and her husband was walking to the pharmacy to pick it up as we spoke on the phone together.  I’m thankful she has him to take care of her.

Yes, God is an amazing artist, and you are a wonderful photographer! Such a beautiful capture of those flowers from Whole Foods! They are really pretty! We have a Whole Foods quite a ways away from us, and I have to say, I’ve never been there, but we do go to either Earth Fare, or Fresh Thyme, which are both about 7 minutes away from us … but so far, no fresh flowers! 😦 It does seem to be warming up this week, so maybe by the weekend we’ll see some showing up there. I love to take photos of flowers … so many different varieties and colors … God is very creative, too! 🙂

I am so sorry to hear about your daughter! I’ve had pneumonia and was so grateful I had my husband to take care of me then. I do wish my mother could have been there though, but she had just passed away when our son, who was 3 at the time, got pneumonia, and that’s when I got it! I remember it took a little while to feel normal again. And, I completely understand how hard it is to be so far away from her. When our son was 2500 miles from home, he got sick and then one day he was in a car accident! Thankfully he didn’t get seriously injured … oh how I wanted to be there with him those times. We were so far away, but I found out, when it comes to a mother’s prayers, there is never any distance with God … He heard my prayers and was right there with him all the time! I hope your daughter is doing better since last week when you had first posted this … I will be praying for a quick recovery!

I was also wondering if you got my reply to your comment … the one where you had said you’d hope I would see it, and yes, I did see it and replied back to you here on your site on the post that is dated Tuesday, January 27 2015. I just wanted to let you know that, in case you had not seen it yet. You have a blessed week, and thank you for sharing the flowers! 🙂

Thanks for your replies! I have been so blessed by “meeting” you. I think I replied / am replying correctly now … er… maybe you could let me know?

Thank you for your prayers for my daughter. She is doing a little better now, the fever is gone. She works as a contractor for a large company and is required to take 8 weeks off per year. Those 8 weeks were going to start next Monday, but her boss changed the time off period to start the week she got sick so she can come back to work sooner … which was wonderful. She is still weak and coughing but improving a little each day and hoping to be able to go to Japan with her husband (who is from Japan) this coming Sunday to visit family. The plane tickets were mostly covered by her father-in-law’s frequent flier miles.

It’s so comforting that there is no distance with God when it’s comes to a mother’s prayers. I have been pondering again that I can spent way too much time focusing on problems and “situations” … instead of focusing on our amazing God.

Thank you so much, my new friend! It’s been a blessing “meeting” you, too, and I’m so very glad to hear your daughter is doing better … it’s a good sign the fever is gone. I remember how weak I was when I had pneumonia. It did take a while to recover and feel like ‘me’ again. I’ll be keeping her in my prayers, and also prayers that she will be up to that trip to Japan! I remember when my son went on a business trip with a group to Ireland and Scotland in 2013 … he had such a good time sightseeing, but I have to say, I was praying hard when he was flying all that way! My husband’s relatives are from Scotland so he got to learn a bit about his ancestral heritage.

As for our problems, I think we all tend to focus on them in the beginning. I know I have, more times than I can count, but He knows our weaknesses, and when we come to focus again on just Who is rightfully in control of those situations, we can cease striving and rest in Him! No, it’s never easy when we encounter trials, and He has a purpose in everything that enters our lives, but His strength is always there to see us through. James 1:2-4 comes to mind … “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.” We are all far from perfect or complete, but we can trust Him to finish the work He’s begun in us! 🙂

You have a beautiful day! We’re hopefully going to see the sunshine after a couple of days of rain … and I hope this dense fog, that settled in overnight, burns off early, too!

What a blessing that your daughter has a nice husband to care for her. 😉 Hope she’s feeling better. Enjoy those tulips! I see you have met Debi, she has been a dear internet friend to me over the years!
